Vol. 29 No. 13

Written Answers. - Purchase of Donegal Estate.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he will state when it is expected to complete the purchase of the Gleveagh (Adair) Estate, Co. Donegal, S. 119, which was one of the first estates lodged with the Land Commission under the Land Act, 1923.

This estate, which comprises 77 holdings, is being dealt with under the provisions of the Land Acts, 1923 and 1927. A Provisional List of these lands which, if not excluded in consequence of a valid objection will vest in the Land Commission on the appointed day, has been gazetted, and a notice fixing the standard purchase annuities in respect of certain non-judicial tenancies was published in Iris Oifigiúil of the 9th ultimo. Any interested party may appeal to the Judicial Commissioner against the annuities so fixed within one month from the date of publication, and until this time has expired and appeals, if any, disposed of, the Land Commission will not be in a position to state when the appointed day may be fixed in respect of this estate.
