Vol. 32 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - The Dublin Electricity Undertaking.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware that as a result of Section 96 of the Electricity Supply Act, 1927, Dublin City will lose the rates hitherto levied on the Dublin undertaking; and, if so, if he will state whether any contribution in lieu of rates will be made to the Dublin Corporation in respect of the Dublin Electricity Undertaking.

Section 96 of the Electricity Supply Act, 1927, on which this question is based, applies only to the Shannon Works and has no bearing on the liabilities of the Dublin or any other local undertaking in the matter of rates.
