Vol. 32 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Entertainment Tax Collected in Dublin.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is in a position to make any estimate as to what percentage of the total amount yielded by the Entertainment Tax in the years 1925/26, 1926/27 and 1927/28, respectively, was collected in respect of entertainments in the City and County Borough of Dublin and in the Dublin Police District, respectively.

The revenue accounts are not furnished in such a way as to give the information required. The particulars could only be obtained by the compilation of special returns, which would involve the expenditure of a considerable amount of time, and the consequent expense would not be justifiable.
