Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Unemployed Operatives in Building Trades.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the numbers unemployed in the City and County of Dublin on the 30th September last (or nearest date), and for the corresponding date in the year 1928, in the following trades: carpenters, bricklayers, plasterers, stonecutters, plumbers, painters, and builders' labourers.

The numbers of persons in the trades mentioned registered as unemployed at Employment Exchanges and branch offices in the area of Dublin City and County on the date nearest to the 30th September last for which statistics are available are as follows:—

The numbers of persons registered as unemployed in these trades for the corresponding date in 1928 for which statistics are available (viz., 31st October, 1928) were stated in answer to the Deputy's question on the 1st November, 1928.
