Vol. 32 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Co. Roscommon Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if the Land Commission has yet acquired the Potts Estate, Correen, Ballinasloe, Co. Roscommon; and, if so, will he say when it is proposed to divide it, so that the acute congestion in the neighbourhood may be relieved.

The price offered for the purchase of the lands of Cloonascreagh, County Galway, and the lands of Culliaghmore and others, County Roscommon, on the Estate of Mrs. Fanny H. Potts, containing in all about 2,840 acres, has been accepted by the owner, and a scheme for the division of the lands is at present under consideration.

Mr. Boland

Could the Parliamentary Secretary state how soon this land will be acquired? Will it be before next March?

I could not say.
