Vol. 33 No. 7

Written Answers. - Vesting of Mayo Holdings.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether the Land Commission have yet taken any steps to vest the holdings on the General Clive (Annagh Island) and Achill Mission (Innishbiggle Island) estates in the tenants concerned; if not, when do they intend to take such steps, and will the question of the allocation of seaweed on the foreshores be dealt with when such vesting takes place.

The Land Commission have already taken the necessary steps to resell as early as possible the holdings on the estates of General Clive (Annagh Island), Co. Mayo, and Achill Mission (Innishbiggle Island), Co. Mayo, which were purchased by the Congested Districts Board and full consideration will be given to the allocation of seaweed rights before the holdings are vested in the tenants.
