Vol. 34 No. 13

Written Answer. - Allottees of the Ballykinave Ranch.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he will state the names of those who were allotted parcels of land on the Ballykinave grazing ranch near Claremorris, Co. Mayo, lately in the possession of Mr. Martin Curran, specifying in each case the acreage and valuation of each such parcel, and the acreage and valuation of the holding previously held by each allottee; likewise the names of the applicants who were refused parcels on this ranch, together with the acreage and valuation of their separate holdings.

I shall send the Deputy the particulars asked for as regards the persons who received allotments. In selecting the allottees the Land Commission gave full consideration to the claims of all applicants for divisions and persons occupying small holdings in the district, but it is not in the public interest to supply the names of the applicants who have not been successful in obtaining allotments.
