Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cost of Paper Supplies.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the amount spent by the Stationery Office on (a) Paper other than packing paper; (b) Packing paper, during the years 1927-28, 1928-29, 1929-30, giving the amount manufactured in the Saorstát for these years.

The answer is a tabular statement which will be circulated in the Parliamentary Debates.

The envelopes bought by the Stationery Office are manufactured by Contractors within the Saorstát, who supply their own paper. The paper is not of Saorstát manufacture, as the necessary quality of paper is not procurable within the Saorstát.
