Vol. 36 No. 2

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - Dublin Central Sorting Office.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether in view of the unsatisfactory accommodation provided for the Sorting Office in Pearse Street, Dublin, and the unsuitable conditions under which the staff there are obliged to work he will indicate when it is proposed to proceed with the erection of a new Central Sorting Office for Dublin.

The existing accommodation at Pearse Street is adequate for the work now performed there, but it is the intention to erect new buildings on this site capable of providing for all the mail work—letter, parcel, and delivery—in the Dublin Central area.

The preparation of the plans of the new buildings is under consideration.
