(An Clár) asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state what was the total number of persons insured under the National Health Insurance Acts for the years 1928, 1929 and 1930, or, if the latter half of 1930 is not available, the number insured under the National Health Insurance Acts for the first half of the year 1930; also the number exempted from National Health Insurance during those three years.

The figures were as follows:

Of these figures, the 1928 figures are final. The others are only estimated and they are referable to the 31st December each year.

The number of persons holding certificates of exemption and not included in above figures was:—

* The class of exempt person was abolished by the National Health Insurance Act, 1929.
