Vol. 37 No. 2

Town Tenants Bill.

Will the President state when the Town Tenants Bill will be circulated to Deputies? The Bill is due to come up to-morrow. When will it be circulated?

Within the next three or four weeks.

Is the President making a promise that the Bill will be circulated within the next three or four weeks?

Is he aware that that is the twelfth promise?

I am not. This is the first time I have made that promise.

Is the President aware that the Minister for Justice gave a definite undertaking to the House that this Bill would be circulated in the middle of January?

So far as the Minister for Justice is concerned that was a perfectly honest undertaking and he did his best to carry out that undertaking.

Is it necessary to get the previous approval of the House holders' Association before the Bill is circulated?

It is not. There is no need to ask that. It is not necessary to get their approval or the approval of anybody else.
