Vol. 37 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Division of Roscrea Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he can give the reasons for the delay in dividing the lands of Mr. J.C. Darby, Leap Castle, Roscrea (Co. Offaly), or state when the division scheme is likely to be put into operation.

A scheme for the division of the untenanted lands acquired from Mr. J.C. Darby has been prepared and is at present under consideration. The scheme is a large one involving considerable drainage work. Proposals are now well advanced and it is hoped that it will be possible to have them put into operation at an early date.

What does the Parliamentary Secretary mean by an early date?

As soon as possible.

There is an inherent difficulty.
