Vol. 37 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Unvested Holdings.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he will state, in respect of holdings which have not yet been vested, the total amounts paid as interest in lieu of rent by tenants purchased under (a) the 1903 Act, (b) the 1909 Act, and by (c) Congested Districts Board tenants; the number of holdings in each case, and the number of holdings purchased under the Land Act, 1923, in respect of which payment in lieu of rent is being paid, with the amount so collectable during the current year in respect of such holdings.

The accounts relating to the collection of rents, interest in lieu of rent, and payment in lieu of rent for the current year have not yet been made up. Particulars of the accounts relating to the year 1929-30 will be found in the report of the Land Commission recently issued.

Am I to understand that in the Land Commission report particulars in lieu of rent and payment in lieu of rent under the Land Acts preceding the 1923 Act are available?

I gather from the second portion of the answer that particulars of the accounts relating to the year 1929-30 will be found in the report of the Land Commission recently issued.

Would the Minister state in what part of the report they will be found?

Third paragraph, page 30 of the report.
