Written Answers. - Acquisition of Ballindine Lands (Mayo).

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether he will state what progress has been made by the Irish Land Commission in acquiring for the relief of congestion the lands known as Cuillane Farm, held by Mrs. French, on Rush Estate, Cuillane, Ballindine, County Mayo.

The lands of Cuillann, containing 248 acres 2 roods 2 perches, have been gazetted under the provision of the Land Act of 1923, with the view to their acquisition. An objection has been lodged to the acquisition of these lands by the Land Commission and this objection is pending for hearing.
