Vol. 38 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Relief of Congestion on Galway Estates.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether it is the intention of the Land Commission to acquire the lands known as Ballinakill Farm, at Clonfert (Pollock Estate), Co. Galway, at present in the possession of Mr. Kenny, who resides in Co. Tipperary, for relief of congestion in that area.

The holding containing 427a. 1r. 4p., in the townland of Ballinakill, held by Mr. E. W. Kenny as a tenant on the Pollock Estate, Co. Galway, will be treated as a retained holding, and the question of the resumption of the lands for the relief of local congestion will be duly considered by the Land Commission.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether he will state if any steps are being taken to relieve the congests on the Reverend T. S. Barry Estate, Clonfert, County Galway.

The estate referred to by the Deputy cannot be identified in the Land Commission from the particulars given.
