Vol. 38 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Relief of Congests in Galway.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether any steps are being taken to relieve the congests in the townland of Lurgan, Dunmore, Captain Quintin Dick Estate, Co. Galway; and further, whether he is aware that Mr. James McDonnell has a farm of over 150 acres at Carramonagh, on above estate, which, if taken over, would relieve those people.

The question of the relief of congestion on the townland of Lurgan will be considered by the Land Commission when they are dealing in due course with the tenanted holdings on the Quintin Dick Estate.

I would like to point out that there are a number of people on this particular estate who have been neglected.
