Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Applications for Tariffs.

asked the Minister for Finance to state what applications for tariffs in respect of which reports have not yet been issued have been referred to the new Tariff Commission; and whether any applications considered by the former Commission have yet to be reported upon.

The following are the applications for tariffs which have been referred to the Tariff Commission and on which reports have not yet been received:—(1) Sole, insole and harness leather and manufactured harness; (2) linen and union piece goods and certain manufactured household goods; (3) modification of the tariff on men's and boys' suits, caps and overcoats; (4) cement; (5) maize products; (6) picture frames; (7) articles of gold, silver and electroplate. Reports have been presented on all the applications in reference to which the former members of the Commission had heard evidence.
