Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Congested Counties.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he will state the number of migrants taken from each of the following counties during the years 1923-1930: Leitrim, Sligo, Roscommon, Galway, Mayo, Donegal; and the cost of this scheme for each of the above counties during the period.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he will state the amount of money spent on improvement of estates for each of the years 1923-1930 in each of the following counties: Leitrim, Sligo, Mayo, Galway, Roscommon and Donegal.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he will state the number and area of estates taken over from the owners, and the amount of compensation paid the owners of such estates by the Land Commission in the following counties: Leitrim, Sligo, Mayo, Roscommon, Galway and Donegal in the years 1923-1930; the number of new holdings created in each of above counties through the sub-division of estates during the years 1923-1930; and the number of uneconomic holdings enlarged in above counties during the years mentioned.

I will take the Deputy's three questions together. Returns in regard to migration, expenditure on improvements and untenanted land acquired and divided, in the counties specified, are being prepared, and will be sent to the Deputy when completed.
