Vol. 40 No. 17

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Retail Milk Prices.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether, in view of the recent increase in the retail price of milk in Dublin and the prospect of a further increase in the near future, he intends to take any steps to safeguard the interests of consumers against excessive prices; and, if so, to state the nature of such steps.

According to my present information, such increase in price as has recently taken place is the normal seasonal increase. It is not being charged, I understand, by all milk vendors. Developments in the existing position will be watched.
