Vol. 41 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Wages of Mayo Road Workers.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he is aware that the wages of the road workers of the Mayo County Council were reduced by the Commissioner for County Mayo, and if he is prepared to have their wages fixed at the same rate of pay as that paid by the Council while in office.

I would refer the Deputy to the reply just given. Further, let me say that rates of wages are a matter solely for the County Council or the Commissioner, as the case may be.
