Vol. 41 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Western Creameries.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if in the event of no provision being made under the Dairy Produce (Price Stabilisation) Bill, 1932, for creameries in western counties that are now in an embarrassed financial condition he will state what steps it is proposed to take in order to ensure a continuance of the dairying industry in the areas served by those creameries.

The operation of the Dairy Produce (Price Stabilisation) Bill will, it is expected, ensure the successful continuance of the dairying industry in all areas at present served by creameries.

The provision proposed to be made for certain creameries in the case of which special considerations justify exceptional treatment will be indicated in the Bill, copies of which will be circulated in a few days.
