Vol. 42 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - National Schools and Eucharistic Congress.

asked the Minister for Education if he will state what arrangements are being made for the closing of National Schools during Eucharistic Congress Week.

Arrangements have been made enabling managers to close national schools for a period not exceeding one week during the period of the Eucharistic Congress and, in the case of schools which are used as hostels, for the period of closing before and after Congress week necessitated by the fitting up of the schools as hostels and the subsequent re-arrangement for school purposes.

A circular for the information of managers and teachers is being printed at the moment and will be issued in the course of a few days. I have arranged to have a copy of the circular sent to the Deputy.
