Vol. 42 No. 13

Public Business. - Trade Loans (Guarantee) (Amendment) Bill, 1932.—First Stage.

Leave granted to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to extend the limit of time imposed by the Trade Loans (Guarantee) (Amendment) Act, 1931, on the giving of guarantees and the making of loans under the Trade Loans (Guarantee) Act, 1924, and to enable the Minister for Industry and Commerce to limit the time within which applications for such guarantees and such loans may be made.—(Minister for Industry and Commerce).

If there is no objection I suggest that all Stages be taken now. This is similar to the Trade Loans Bills that have been passed here annually for the past five or six years. It is really only a continuation of these Bills.

We have not seen the Bill as far as I am aware.

If there is any objection I will not press it.

Take it on Thursday. Second Stage fixed for Thursday, 30th June.
