Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Rebuilding of the “Irish House,” Tipperary.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state what compensation was awarded for the rebuilding of the "Irish House," Tipperary; how much interest had accumulated and how the money was disbursed.

The amount awarded by the Compensation (Ireland) Commission for the rebuilding of the premises was £11,000, together with interest at 5 per cent. from 17th November, 1922. The award was liquidated by an unconditional payment of £9,000, plus interest (less income tax) amounting to £348 11s. 11d., from 17th November, 1922, to 29th November, 1923, the date of discharge. Interest (less income tax) on £11,000 between the same dates would amount to £427 3s. 10d.
