Vol. 44 No. 3

Vote 17—Rates on Government Property.

I move:—

Go ndeontar suim ná raghaidh thar £5,600 chun slánuithe na suime is gá chun íoctha an Mhuirir a thiocfaidh chun bheith iníoctha i rith na bliana dar críoch an 31adh lá de Mhárta, 1933, chun Rátaí agus Síntiúisí in ionad Rátaí, etc., i dtaobh Maoine Rialtais agus chun Síntiúisí mar chabhair chun Rátaí ar Fhoirgintí atá i seilbh Ionadaithe Rialtas Coigríche.

That a sum not exceeding £5,600 be granted to complete the sum necessary to defray the Charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of March, 1933, for Rates and Contributions in lieu of Rates; etc., in respect of Government Property and for Contributions towards Rates on Buildings occupied by Representatives of External Governments.

This estimate represents an increase of £2,000 from £87,500 to £89,500. It is made up largely of rates on new buildings, and it is also caused by the tendency of local rates to increase. There is nothing so far as I know that calls for any comment.

Vote agreed to.
