Vol. 44 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Drainage of Wexford Sloblands.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he received from the Minister for Agriculture a memorial in regard to the drainage of the Wexford sloblands; whether he is aware that civil bills have now been issued by the Drainage Commissioners against some of the tenants for very considerable amounts and that the position has become serious and urgent, and whether in view of this he will come to an early decision on the memorial.

The memorial referred to has been duly received. The collection of the maintenance rates is a matter entirely for the Commissioners for the North Slob, Wexford Harbour, and the Commissioners of Public Works are not empowered to interfere.
