Vol. 44 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Irish Hospitals Sweeps Funds.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will state when the last three allocations of grants made from the Irish Hospitals Sweeps Funds, amounting to a total of £25,000, will be paid to the South Charitable Infirmary, Cork.

The hospitals' share of proceeds of the Sweepstake on the Manchester November Handicap, 1931, has now been distributed amongst the participating institutions. This exhausts the moneys under my control, and I must have before me a further report from the Committee of Reference before any additional payments can be made to hospitals. I have not yet received the report on the Grand National of this year.

Will the Minister let us have that information when he gets the report?

Certainly. Any information I have will be available to the Deputy.
