Vol. 46 No. 6

Written Answers. - Acquisition of Meath Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether any representations had been made to his Department regarding the acquisition and distribution of the unoccupied lands on the Cohiltown Estate, Rathkenny, County Meath, the property of the late Albert Lowry, Esq.; whether the Land Commission proposes to acquire these lands, and, if so, whether he can state how soon the lands will be divided.

The Land Commission have already had the question of the acquisition of the lands of Coghalstown on the Lowry Estate under consideration, in connection with representations received by them, and as it was ascertained that the lands were purchased under the Land Purchase Acts, it was decided to take no action in the case. The representations now made by the Deputy have been noted for consideration.
