Written Answers. - Distribution of County Meath Estate.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether any representations have been made to his Department regarding the distribution of the unoccupied lands still in the possession of Isaac Rowntree, Esq., and which constitute the remainder of the Mullaha Estate, Rathkenny, County Meath, which was acquired by the Land Commission in 1928-29; whether this remaining portion will be divided and distributed and, if so, how soon such distribution will take place.

The Land Commission have acquired the whole of the lands of Mullagha containing 309a. 0r. 20p. from Mr. Isaac Roundtree and have divided 181a. 3r. 25p. amongst 15 allottees. The remaining portion comprising 127a. 0r. 35p. has been allotted to Mr. Roundtree and he holds the land at the moment under agreement for letting for temporary convenience.
