Vol. 46 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Creation of Land Bonds.

Mr. Lynch

asked the Minister for Finance whether, in view of the fact that since the expiry of the guarantee by the British Treasury for the payment of principal and interest on land bonds created for the purposes of the Land Act, 1923, and subsequent Acts, no land bonds have been created under those Acts where lands have been purchased, it is intended to introduce proposals for legislation for the creation of land bonds since the expiry of the British guarantee.

It is intended to introduce at an early date the necessary legislative proposals to enable the creation of a new series of land bonds requisite for the completion of land purchase proceedings.
