Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Wages of Workers on Arterial Drainage.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the weekly rate of wages paid to workers engaged on schemes of arterial drainage in each county in the Saorstát and the number of hours per week worked in each case.

The return circulated in the Dáil Debates for 24th instant contains in respect of each county in which drainage works have recently been in progress the information asked for as regards rates of wages. The number of hours worked on arterial drainage schemes varies between 45 and 50 hours per week according to seasonal conditions.
