Vol. 46 No. 18

Ceisteanna—Questions. Written Answers. - Cavan County Librarian.

asked the President if he will state why the Local Appointments Commissioners have not sent on the names of the successful candidates for the position of librarian to the Cavan County Council, and when they will be sent on.

In response to the statutory request received on 12th October, 1932, from Cavan County Council, the Local Appointments Commissioners advertised this vacancy on 6th December, 1932, the last day for accepting applications being 20th December. Owing to difficulty in arranging a meeting, the Board appointed by the Commissioners were not able to interview the candidates until 1st February, 1933. Inquiries as to the age and character of the three most highly qualified and suitable candidates have now been completed, and their names and a statement of their qualifications and experience will be sent to the Cavan County Council in time for consideration at the Council's meeting to be held on the 18th April.
