Vol. 47 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Salmon Exports.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if in view of the hardship at present being inflicted on the salmon fishermen of the Saorstát by the existing British tariffs, he will consider the question of recommending the granting of a bounty on salmon exports.

The market information to date does not reveal any hardship to exporters of salmon to British markets, as wholesale prices compared with last year have advanced by more than the duty imposed on imports.
