I beg to propose Financial Resolution No. 18, which will provide for any change that may arise in the existing legal position on account of the new Hospitals Sweepstake Act:—
That Section 50 of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 20 of 1932), shall apply to every sweepstake which is held under any Act passed or to be passed in the financial year beginning on the 1st day of April, 1933, repealing and replacing the Public Charitable Hospitals (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1930 (No. 12 of 1930), as if such sweepstake were held under such last-mentioned Act, but with and subject to such modifications as may be necessary having regard to the terms of the said Act so passed or to be passed.
