Vol. 47 No. 17

Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - Building of School at Clonkeen, Leap (County Cork).

asked the Minister for Education if he can state when the work on the proposed new school at Clonkeen, Leap, Co. Cork, will be started.

Unless the local parties are prepared to erect the school building without State aid the building of the proposed school cannot be commenced until the necessary preliminaries affecting the title to the site, etc., have been fully completed and a grant has been made towards the cost of the work.

Correspondence is proceeding with the manager with regard to an issue, not yet settled, in connection with the title to the site and my Department hopes to be in a position to make a grant in the case at an early date.
