Vol. 48 No. 8

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take item 8—Public Services (Temporary Economies) Bill—at 7.30 this evening. An arrangement has been come to between the Whips to facilitate members who have decided to attend the religious ceremonies this evening and it is expected that there will be no vote from 7.30 to 9.30.

When will the Dáil Eireann Loans and Funds (Amendment) Bill, which is on the Order Paper, be circulated? The Bill was introduced last week and a promise was given that it would be circulated in a day or two.

We hope to have it circulated to-morrow.

Will the President arrange that we shall have sufficient time to consider the Bill before the Second Stage is taken?

Do I understand that no division will be taken between the hours of seven and nine?

Between 7.30 and 9.30.

The President proposes to take No. 8 at 7.30?

Yes—during that interval. It is expected that there will be no division during that time.

If the debate on item 8 concludes before 9.30, will a division be taken?

Can a division be postponed?

It is not usual, to postpone a division, but we can adjourn the debate.
