Vol. 48 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Limerick Unemployed.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state when it is proposed to afford relief to the unemployed in the district by making an allocation out of the Relief Schemes Vote or otherwise for (a) the steam-rolling of the badly neglected road between Abbeyfeale and Meenaheela; (b) the construction of a new bog road at Dromtrasna South, and (c) the further suggested bog-road at Dromtrasna Collins, Abbeyfeale, County Limerick.

As to (a). The road referred to is maintained by the county council and it is not intended to make an allocation out of the Relief Schemes Vote or other special Vote for the purpose of steam-rolling it. As to (b) and (c). Schemes are in course of preparation for the expenditure of the Relief Schemes Vote, and due consideration will be given to the proposals referred to.
