Vol. 48 No. 19

In Committee on Finance. - Vote 59—Marine Service.

I move:

Go ndeontar suim ná raghaidh thar £4,621 chun slánuithe na suime is gá chun íoctha an Mhuirir a thiocfaidh chun bheith iníoctha i rith na bliana dar críoch an 31adh lá de Mhárta, 1934, chun Tuarastail agus Costaisí na Muir-Sheirbhíse (Merchant Shipping Acts, 1894-1921, Crown Lands Acts, 1829-1866).

That a sum not exceeding £4,621 be granted to complete the sum necessary to defray the Charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of March, 1934, for the Salaries and Expenses of the Marine Service (Merchant Shipping Acts, 1894-1921, Crown Lands Acts, 1829-1866).

There is a small reduction in salaries under the Coast Life-Saving Service amounting to £390. I do not think the Vote in general calls for any remarks.

Why have the appropriations-in-aid decreased, or why is it estimated that they will decrease?

We have no information at the moment to account for the decrease in the appropriations-in-aid.

It cannot be much if you do not know what it is.

Vote agreed to.
