Vol. 49 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Wexford Gárda Barrack.

asked the Minister for Justice if any further advance has been made in securing better barrack accommodation for the Gárda Síochána at Wexford town.

I am informed by the Board of Works, who are responsible for the provision of barrack accommodation for the Gárda Síochána, that no definite scheme for a new barrack in Wexford has yet been decided upon and that alternative proposals are at present under consideration.

In view of the fact that the Gárda in Wexford are housed under disgraceful conditions will the Minister do something to get the Board of Works to move at once in the matter?

I have taken one matter up with the Board of Works.
