Dáil Éireann debate -
Tuesday, 8 Aug 1933

Vol. 49 No. 12

Business of the Dáil.

I wish to announce that an agreement has been reached between the Whips that, as a number of Deputies would like to attend the Horse Show to-morrow, the Dáil will not meet until 5 o'clock. Public business will then be continued until it is completed and after that four hours will be allowed for the adjournment debate. That may necessitate moving at the outset that the Dáil sit later than 10.30 to-morrow, if necessary.

I should like to know from the Government Whip or the President, is it understood that the business will be disposed of finally to-morrow?

And there is agreement amongst all the Whips on that?

That is my understanding. The business remaining to be completed is the Land Bill, Estimates and a number of First Readings.

Two First Readings.

There are a number of them. There are certain Constitution amendments which will appear on the Order Paper to-morrow.

So far as Deputy Dillon or myself are concerned, we have heard nothing regarding this arrangement. I take it our Whip has been left out of these consultations? No answer?
