Vol. 50 No. 3

Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - West Cork Relief Schemes.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state what principle guided him in allocating the moneys provided this year for minor relief schemes in the constituency of West Cork, and if he will give details of the schemes in respect of which moneys have been allocated.

The principle underlying the allocation of the moneys provided this year for minor relief schemes in the constituency of West Cork is the same as that employed in the other necessitous areas of the Free State, viz., so as to bring relief to those who most require it at the time and place when and where it is most required. A copy of the first detailed list of approved grants for County Cork was sent to the Deputy for his information on 31st October and further lists are in course of preparation.
