Vol. 50 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Duty on Religious Emblems.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will consider the advisability of remitting the import duty on printed matter and emblems of a religious character sent to persons in the Irish Free State purely as gifts or souvenirs and not as articles for sale.

I have considered the suggestion contained in the question and am satisfied that its adoption would not be advisable.
