Vol. 51 No. 1

Death of King of the Belgians.

I desire to acquaint the Dáil that I have received from the President of the Executive Council, Minister for External Affairs, an extract from a letter received by him from the Belgian Consul General of which the following is a copy:—

"I am directed by the Government of his Majesty the King of the Belgians to request the Government of the Irish Free State to express to the Dáil how deeply moved they have been by the sympathy with the Belgian Nation expressed by this House and to convey to its Members their profound gratitude."

I shall have the extract entered in the Journal of the Dáil.
