Vol. 52 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Sligo and Wexford Incidents.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will state whether he has received a report that on the night of the 28th/29th April a number of persons were injured as a result of an armed attack made on them near Cliffoney, County Sligo; and if he will state whether the persons responsible for this attack have been identified and charged with the offence.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will state whether he has received a report that on the night of the 28th/29th April a main road in the neighbourhood of Enniscorthy, County Wexford, was blocked with felled trees and that telegraph and telephone wires between Enniscorthy and Ferns were cut; and if he will state whether the persons responsible for these offences have been identified and charged with the offence.

I propose to take questions Nos. 1 and 4 together. The answer to the first part of the question in each case is in the affirmative. No person has yet been charged in either case.

Is the Minister pursuing inquiries?

In both cases?
