Vol. 53 No. 15

In Committee on Finance. - Shannon Fisheries Bill, 1934—Money Resolution.

In order to save typing, the Minister might move the Money Resolution in respect of the Shannon Fisheries Bill.

I should like to raise the point that it is possible we may not take the Committee Stage of that Bill until after the Recess. Will that make any difference?

It would save typing to move it now, and it would make no difference.

I move:—

That for the purposes of any Act of the present session to make provision for the management of the fisheries of the River Shannon by the Electricity Supply Board and for that purpose to provide for the payment of compensation in respect of such fisheries by the said board and the acquisition or transfer of such fisheries by or to the said board and to make provision for other matters relating to such management or to such fisheries it is expedient to authorise—

(a) the advance out of the Central Fund or the growing produce thereof to the Electricity Supply Board of such sums as the Minister for Industry and Commerce shall certify to be reasonably and properly required by the board, and

(b) the payment out of moneys provided by the Oireachtas of any expenses incurred by the Minister for Industry and Commerce in the execution of such Act.

Question put and agreed to.
Resolution reported and agreed to.
The Dáil adjourned at 9.22 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Thursday, August 2.
