Vol. 54 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Drainage of River Robe

asked the Minister for Finance whether he is aware that serious damage has been recently caused by the overflow from the River Robe in South Mayo; if he will state how the scheme for the drainage of that river stands at present, and when it is proposed to commence drainage operations on said river.

No representations have been received regarding serious damage recently caused by the overflow from the River Robe.

The Inspector's report on the public inquiry held in respect of objections to the River Robe proposed Drainage Scheme was received on the 5th November by the Commissioners of Public Works, by whom it is at present being considered. Whilst a definite date cannot be given at this stage, it is hoped that drainage operations will be started early in the coming summer.
