Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Investigation Into Outrages.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will state whether the masked and armed men who held up a motor van conveying copies of the Cork Examiner to Tralee, at Carlaheen Cross, on Saturday, 8th September last, and destroyed it and its contents, have yet been identified and charged, and, if so, if he will state before what type of court they were charged, and if convicted what punishment was imposed; and whether the arms carried on the occasion have been traced and taken possession of by the police.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will state whether the persons who attempted to blow up the house next the Gárda Síochána station at Keadue, Roscommon, by exploding a mine, on the night of the 12th February, have been identified and charged, and, if so, if he will state before what type of court they were charged, and if convicted what sentence was imposed.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will state whether the persons who made an armed raid on the Freemason Hall in Tuckey Street, Cork, on Friday, 26th January have been identified and charged, and, if so, if he will state before what type of court they were charged, and if convicted what punishment was imposed and whether the arms carried on the occasion have been traced and taken possession of by the police.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will state whether the armed men who on the might of the 22nd January held up a taxi driver at Donnycarney, and forcibly deprived him of his taxi, have been identified and charged, and, if so, if he will state before what type of court they have been charged, and if convicted what punishment has been imposed and whether the arms carried on the occasion have been traced and taken possession of by the police.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will state whether the armed and masked men who on the morning of the 15th January, raided the house of a member of the new Volunteer Force, at Beaufort, Killarney, have been identified and charged and, if so, if he will state before what type of court they were charged, and if convicted what punishment was imposed and whether the arms carried on the occasion have been traced and taken possession of by the police.

asked the Minister for Justice whether the persons who (1) organised and (2) took part in the forcible entry of the Savoy Cinema, Dublin, on the night of the 3rd December last and carried out acts of destruction there, have yet been identified and charged and, if so, if he will state before what type of court they were charged and if convicted what punishment was imposed.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will state whether any of the party of about 40 who entered the Theatre at Kilkenny, on the night of the 20th December, for the purpose of preventing exhibition of the film of the Duke of Kent's royal wedding, have been identified and charged, and if so if he will state before what type of court they were charged and if convicted what punishment was imposed.

I propose to take together questions Nos. 1 to 7, inclusive. No person has been charged in connection with any of these outrages, and investigations are proceeding.
