Vol. 55 No. 16

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Inspection of Bulls in County Limerick.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he received complaints from persons who presented their bulls for inspection at Killonan, County Limerick, on the 12th February, 1935, regarding the method and procedure of the inspection carried out; and, if so, if he will have the complaints investigated or an inquiry held in connection with the matter.

Dr. Ryan

I have received no complaints of any kind in connection with the inspection under the Live Stock Breeding Act of bulls at Killonan (to which I presume the Deputy refers), as there was no centre at Killonan.

Does the Minister consider that the need for this rigorous inspection of bulls exists now that their progeny are being slaughtered?

Dr. Ryan

All the more so.

To improve the colour of the skins.
