Official statistics are not obtained in respect of the 1st January in any year; and figures under head (b), for the years 1930, 1932 and 1934, and under head (c), for the years 1932 and 1934, have not been compiled.
The figures under heads (b) and (c), for the years for which they have not been compiled, would approximate, under head (b), to the figures for the years in the table and, under head (c), to the figures for the year 1933. The value of statistics for the years for which they are not available under these heads would not, in the circumstances, be commensurate with the labour involved.
