Vol. 56 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Resigned and Dismissed R.I.C.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he has yet received the report of the Committee appointed to inquire into the claims of the resigned and dismissed R.I.C. men; whether it is his intention to publish the report and if he will state what other action he proposes taking in reference to it.

The Report of the Committee of Inquiry into Resignations and Dismissals from the Royal Irish Constabulary has been received by me. I am not satisfied that any useful purpose would be served by the publication of the Report.

The Report is at present under examination in my Department. I propose, in due course, to introduce a Supplementary Estimate to provide for the payment of pensions in certain cases.
